You’ve just finished up an important meeting with a potential client. As you leave, your mind is already processing the meeting, and you feel a sense of worry. Did you do enough to close this client? You wonder if you said enough, or maybe too much? Outwardly, you continue with your day but inwardly you are panicking.
Take out the negativity!
Negative emotions are like used candy wrappers. They aren’t relevant, and getting rid of them is so cathartic. It’s like telling secrets to a trusted friend, so they no longer hang over your life. It’s relieving: and the first step is just realizing you have these feelings.
Write down every negative thing that is holding you back. This can be anything that you feel is impacting your life, and causing you anxiety or stress. Write down every single one. When you’re done, destroy the paper. Once it’s gone, consciously tell yourself your done with the things you wrote and move forward with a clean slate.
Letting go looks like this
You stand up from the conference table, grab your laptop, and leave the meeting. You’ve just met a new client, and you’ve spent the last hour discussing your business with them. Both of you see the benefit in working together: so, you’ve scheduled a follow-up meeting to work out the specifics. You’re feeling great, and that has shown clearly in your interaction with your new client. Your positive attitude is one of the biggest reasons they decide to work with you. As you walk toward your office, you reflect that since you’ve let go of the emotions that were causing you stress, you’ve closed clients more quickly and are earning more money.
Yarcort and letting go
At Yarcort, you come in to contact with a belief in the power of change: we’ve seen it in ourselves and in our teammates. You experience for the first time what it is like to be in a judgement free zone, with a team that cares. The inspiration and positive energy is so powerful that you won’t want to leave. In fact, that’s what happens: clients want to linger because it feels so good. And that crap you came in with, the stuff you’ve been holding on to forever like a shackle around your leg, it’s free.
Over and over, time and time again, you will experience greatness, inspiration and motivation.
Gina has a private workshop she is putting together and will only be working with 7 people. If you need help letting go, connect with her right now at [email protected] to see if we are a fit to work together!
